This year's Christmas stamps will feature three themes: iconic figures from the Nativity, familiar symbols of the Christmas season and creatures from Christmas Island.
The Nativity issue features the Virgin Mary cradling her newborn son on the 50c stamp, while the $1.25 design depicts the three Magi or Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior and Balthazar offering precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to baby Jesus.
The designer Mike Heine who has created a modern, clean and highly colourful stamp issue reflecting the joyful celebration of this important Christian celebration.
