This year’s legends are Australian film actors who have been recognised worldwide. All have won Academy Awards for acting.

The four legends are:

  • Nicole Kidman AC
  • Russell Ira Crowe
  • Cate Blanchett
  • Geoffrey Roy Rush

Every year since 1997 Australia Post has honoured the achievements of eminent Australians with a stamp release marking the Australia Post Australian Legends Award. The award itself comprises a gold replica stamp presented to each recipient at an Australia Day lunch.
