Australian Legends Stamps

Australian Legends Stamps

Sir Donald Bradman was the first living person to be officially recognised on the Australian legends stamps which commenced on 23 January 1997. The se-tenant stamp design features a portrait of Sir Bradman in the late 1930s and a photograph of him in action - his favourite action shot. The designs were approved by Sir Bradman.

As recipient of the first Australian Legend Award he received a gold version of the se-tenant stamps. The issue included a sheetlet of ten, First day cover, stamp pack, maximum cards, PNC product and an Australian Legends Book signed by then Prime Minister, the Right Honorable Mr John Howard.
